Rancho Leonero According to the book, "the Baja Catch", the greatest stretch of fishing water in the Northern Hemisphere is the 150 mile stretch between La Paz and Cabo San Lucas down at the point. Nutrient rich waters from the Pacific mix with the warm waters of the Sea of Cortez and create a soup for Sardina and Anchovie to explode. All of the game fish key on the bait fish or the small fish that eat the bait fish. You can go down in the Spring and Summer and catch Sailfish, Marlin and Rooster fish. Crocodile bay, Costa Rica Crocodile bay is known in the fishing world for Sailfish. Last year over 10,000 sails were caught and released. There are two types of fishing there, inland and offshore. African Angler, Egypt Nile perch grow to over 300 pounds and fight like a largemouth, yeap, you heard me right! We fished with Tim Baily of the African Angler on Lake Nasser for tiger fish and Nile Perch. They took both the fly and trolled lures readily. By far the greatest trip I’ve had in years.
